Drop Cable serves as the last link for the FTTx networks of today, because is designed for quick installation and ease in handling from the distribution point to the subscriber.

The design is constructed utilizing proven buffer tube technology with a single tube containing up to twelve fibers.  Two diametrically opposed dielectric rods are placed alongside the buffer tube to provide the mechanical properties of the cable.
